After a golden decade of wild growth at full speed in the late 90s and during the first years of the 21st century, Bangalore is in a transition period right now. The fifth largest city of India, capital of the state of Karnataka is facing major challenges, namely digesting the explosion of new technologies as they reach maturity. Indeed in the past few years Bangalore has been evolving at two speeds. Whilst in the periphery of the city I-Tech economic parks and pharaonic building projects are growing at full speed, the urban center is asphyxiated by traffic jams and can barely absorb the influx of people coming from across the country to enjoy the IT manna and fast aerospace development.
